Pedal Home from Prague

Two years later, we decided to look further afield again, to a challenge that would take us back to the UK through 5 different European countries.  Beginning in the historic city square in the Czech capital of Prague, we rode west through Germany and the castles of the Romantic Rhine, through the Black Forest into Luxembourg, through some of the cobbled hills of the famous Belgian Classics cycle races, through the long plains of northern France, and across the English Channel before a final days’ riding in Kent and Sussex.  Many of the countries we visited were new to members of the group - and cycling was a great way to enjoy these new landscapes and cultures, we often received fantastic support on the road from local drivers and business owners! 

One Mile Closer was set up in memory Rob Gauntlett and James Atkinson. The boys wished that all young people would be able to have the same opportunities that they had benefited from themselves - OMC raises money to that end.
