Girona to Milan

2018

After a few years of building up our climbing experience and tasting some of the big European climbs, we decided that this was the year to really challenge ourselves in the high mountains. We began in northern Spain, crossed the Pyrenees, rode the climbs of the Languedoc in southern France before once again taking on the great Mont Ventoux. From Ventoux, we rode north into the Alps and the Col de la Bonnette, highest pass in Europe, throwing in a few more Alpine climbs before enjoying the brilliant descent into Italy and our celebrations on the shores of Lake Maggiore.

One Mile Closer was set up in memory Rob Gauntlett and James Atkinson. The boys wished that all young people would be able to have the same opportunities that they had benefited from themselves - OMC raises money to that end.
